1. Lower power consumption than an open circuit ball mill
2. High cement fineness achievable
3. Cement fineness can be controlled with separator adjustment

Disadvantage:

1. Closed-circuit mills are more sophisticated and can havemore technical problems
2. Larger space requirement
3. Higher investment cost (+ 25 to 30 % incl. housing)
